Cheap Gas - American Border Jumpers
May 30, 2008 · Print This Article
Normally here at CarFront we like to keep our stories specific to high end cars or car companies, this one however, is an exception.
We’re starting to see a reverse surge the opposite way we are used to when it comes to the Mexican border. Americans are making the drive into Tijuana to save money at the pump. Just how much are people saving? For a gallon of regular, California residents are at about $4 a gallon. The drive down south of the border is saving them about $1.25, with the price in Mexico sitting at about $2.75 a gallon. The big shocker comes to Diesel, where Californians are paying about $4.71 a gallon, Mexico, $2.10! Thats a savings of $2.61 a gallon. I guess it’s our turn to leech a little bit?

I can beat that $2.75 gas. I head down to Mexico and eat a plate full of beans and I get all my gas for free!!
Is everybody in Washington, DC stuck on STUPID?
If those 535 “Nincompoops” in Washington, DC, we laughing refer to as US Representatives of the people, would finally pass an Energy Policy that makes sense, after 35 years without one, maybe the US Tax Payer would be able to buy fuel for $2.50 per gallon rather than risking our lives driving out of the country for reasonably priced fuel.
All 535 of them need to be run out of office for incompetence. Each and everyone is a disgrace.
The only reasonable way to deal with this problem is to suspend all Environmental Laws until the US is 100% Energy Independent. The Environmental Lobby has caused this problem by terrorizing every elected official in Washington, DC. Their intimidation of elected officials has gone excessively too far. American life as we all know it is on the verge of being totally lost.
These are the three most responsible for terrorizing our 535 US Congressional Representatives:
Call: John Flicker - Audubon Society - (212) 979-3000.
Call: Frances Beinecke - NRDC - (212) 727-2700.
Call: Trip Van Noppen - Earthjustice - (510) 550-6700.
These three and their respective organizations are going to cause the American way of life to be a thing of the past, just like the Romans the US will fall apart from within.
Where does your 2008 CONGRESSIONAL Representative candidate stand on the following?
* Drilling for Oil in the US, including Alaska?
* Building more oil refineries in the US?
* Building Nuclear Power Plants now that safety issues are dealt with?
* More aggressive development of US coal resources?
* STOP tax incentives for Ethanol until food costs come down?
* Illegal Immigration?
Remember, Congress makes Laws, NOT the President!

GOD Forbid That We Drill In the US, or Build Additional Refinery Capacity or Expand Nuclear Energy Production!
NO, NO! We would not want to do that until Solar or Wind Power capabilities mature.
Why would the US Congress do anything that makes sense?
Taxing the oil Companies? Yea, that will bring down the price of oil! Or maybe sue them or OPEC?
If you believe that, I have an Adjustable Rate Mortgage just for you.
Maybe we need to expand Ethanol production instead. Food is too cheap anyway.
I know, A Gas Tax Holiday, with a Fireworks Show to kick It Off!
