Brabus Vanish: Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series
April 14, 2010

Check out tuning-house Brabus’ new beast – the Brabus Vanish. It’s a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series that has been injected with so much ‘roids, it suffers from roid rage.
The car produces a whopping 789 hp from its twin-turbocharged 6.0L V12 engine. The “stock” SL65 AMG Black “only” dishes out a mere 661 hp.
The uprated power comes from larger turbochargers (that probably sucks up massive road kill), a quicker gearbox, and a tuned exhaust.
And as a testament to the car being as exclusive as heck, the car’s been built since some guy from Dubai wanted one. (And you know how much serious dough those guys from OPEC have.)
Brabus Mercedes-Benz GL 63 Biturbo

So the Mercedes GL isn’t really the type of car that you plow off the road at a whim since it’s really more of a big car for the road. So what’s the point in giving the GL a massive shot of steroids.
Well, that’s just the thing with tuners especially with the likes of Brabus. Meet the Brabus Mercedes-Benz GL 63 Biturbo.
The car’s basically a GL but has an eight-cylinder engine from the ML 63 AMG with a couple of turbos added for good measure. It’s tweaked and tuned to dish out 650 hp and up to 625 lb-ft of torque. That’s in the ball park of the Ferrari Enzo. The engine is mated to a Speedshift 7G-Tronic automatic gearbox and permanent 4WD.
However, since this is a crossover we’re talking about, the Brabus GL 63 doesn’t necessarily go like the Enzo. But it’s pretty fast and pretty quick, able to go full out at 186.4 mph and a 0-62 mph sprint in 4.7 seconds.
Since Brabus doesn’t simply tweak the engine, the car also gets a bit more styling with 23-inch forged wheels (21s and 22s) come as choices, bits and pieces for the exterior and a spiffy interior styling.
Brabus Ultimate High Voltage Unveiled
September 22, 2009
This is just the reason why we love tuners. Merc tuner Brabus has been at it again but it’s not a case of bitch-slapping Merc in-house tuner AMG by making AMG-badged Mercs way better. They laid their hands on a Smart ForTwo.
Meet the Brabus Ultimate High Voltage. Built upon a ForTwo, Brabus slapped on electric motors and a battery pack jointly developed with Tesla Motors. The motors dish out 82 hp and a crazy 207 lb-ft of torque.
With a car the size of the ForTwo, that much power allows the car to go from 0 to 60 mph in 9.8 seconds. That should be enough to dust even small compact sedans.
The car sits on huge 18-inch rims. For added body bits, Brabus slapped on side skirts, wheel arches, and LED running lights. Inside you’d find seats in white leather and yellow stitching.
Oh and for kicks. Brabus fitted the car with an “artificial sound generator” that emits the V8 bellow of a muscle car even if the car’s basically a silent EV. That should be enough to scare those who’d dare line up against you at the red light.

Brabus Black Baron E V12
September 13, 2009
Mercedes-Benz is really focusing on creating green cars for its fleet but we can still expect monstrous Mercs thanks to tuners like Brabus. Meet the Brabus Black Baron E V12 – the Brabus-tuned monster based on the E63 AMG.
Powering the Black Baron is a 6.3L twin-turbocharged V12 engine that churns out an earth-moving 800 horses and biblical 1,407 lb-ft of torque. That much power allows the car to go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds and top speed goes all the way up to 230 mph.
The car’s also fitted with a fully-adjustable sports suspension, and sports braking system, new stabilizers and 19-inch alloy wheels.
On the outside, the Brabus gets a grille, new front quarter panels, front bumper, side skirts, a trunk mounted spoiler, and new new rear-wheel covers (which actually makes the car look like crap from the side).
The car will see a limited run though, with only 10 to be made.
