TechArt Porsche 911 Turbo Tuning Package

May 5, 2010

TechArt’s not letting up with Porsche tuning packages. They made quite the stunner with the Panamera, now here’s their take on the new 911 Turbo.

TechArt offers two tuning packages for the 911 Turbo.

The first tuning package ups the power to 562 hp thanks to a revised ECu and air filter. That allows the car to zip from 62 mph from standstill in just 3.2 seconds and blow past 200 mph.

The second tuning package increases the total hp to as much as 612 hp thanks to new manifolds, exhaust, and a new ECU. 0-62 mph time is trimmed down to 2.9 seconds and can go all the way up to 207 mph.

Porsche should take a hint from tuning companies on how they could improve their fleet’s styling. Here’s tuning company TechArt fiddling with the Porsche Panamera turning the butt-ugly sedan into a Batmobile.

This Panamera’s dubbed the “Black Edition.” It’s still basically a Panamera with some wicked styling. The car gets a TechArt Aerodynamic Kit I package and a matte-black finish. The car sits atop 22-inch Formula II alloys.

Inside, the Black Edition gets black leather and Alcantara with flamenco red pipings. Trims and vents are matte-black to match the car’s black motif.

Engine mods include a new carbon-fiber engine cover and an additional 150 hp from some engine tweaks that TechArt didn’t reveal. TechArt doesn’t want other to be privy with what sort of engine mods allowed them to squeeze out as much from the engine.

The outside gets quite a lot of treatment too. The new front end features a new bumper, a new hood, and new fenders. Side skirts were also slapped on to the body. At the back are deal tailpipes, an adjustable rear spoiler and a rear bumper with diffusers.

The car also sits on top of 22-inch TechArt Formula III alloys with Continental Sport Contact 3 rubber.
