SV Launches SV 9 Competizione

Here’s how you make a profit from getting an existing car, dressing it up a bit, slapping on an Italian sounding name, and selling it as a limited edition exotica. Check out the SV 9 Competizione from the SV Motor Company.

Basically it’s a Corvette C6 but received a special SV “treatment.” If you could ever call it that. No confirmation yet on the powertrain for the car but it most likely to retain the C6’s 6L V8 that dishes out 400 bhp and 400 lb-ft of torque.

The SV has their own take on the design, crossing the look of American muscle with Italian exotica. The body’s made from carbon fiber and for extra lightweightedness they slapped on lightweight custom forged alloys. The car weighs in at a mere 1400 kg.

The car will cost $99,995 in the US when it goes on sale later this year. SV will debut it at the Concorso Italiano show in August.
