Changan Auto SUV Concept Due for Shanghai Auto Show

Changan Auto of China has released teaser images of its upcoming SUV concept, the e301 conept that is set to make its official debut at the Shanghai Auto Show.
The design of the SUV concept shows a futuristic look and some unique design elements, including a radical new grille with a Changan badge sunk at the center, a frameless wraparound windshield going all the way to the sides, and a new wheel design that seem to come straight out of sci-fi shows.
The e301 concept’s design is a welcome change to Changan’s current models such as the CM8 and the CV8, which all feature lackadaisical looks that offer nothing new thanks to their safe and conservative styling.
No specific details on the e301 concept’s specifications, stats, and feature set have been revealed. Well, it’s not too long before the concept comes from under wraps when the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show opens on April 20. Then we’ll see if the concept SUV really offers something new for the fourth-ranked Chinese car manufacturer.
