2010 MG MG6 Revealed

“British” automaker MG (best known for its two-seater coupes) is back with the launch of the MG 6 – the company’s first since launching the MGF.

“This is a milestone day for the iconic MG brand and for the UK automotive industry. MG has begun the international launch of an all new model that has been designed and engineered here in the UK, for the global automotive market,” said MG UK Sales and Marketing Director Guy Jones.

Deviating from the two-seat tradition, the MG6 is a four-door, five-seater fastback that sports some aggressive lines which is now commonplace even among sedans. The car will also serve as the debut of the updated MG logo. No specifications on the powertrain, suspension and brake systems have been made available yet.

While MG still claims to be a UK automaker, most of its cars are basically complete knock down kits from China. At least that gives MG a wider market base in Asia.
