Novitec Rosso Unleashes TuLesto Supercar for Tuner’s 20th Anniversary
May 19, 2009
Novitec Rosso continues to be one of the most renowned tuners of Ferrari supercars through its 20 years of existence. To celebrate it’s 20th anniversary, the German tuner will be making its first complete car: the 777-horsepower TuLesto supercar.
The TuLesto’s engine will be mounted at the middle of the car. The twin-supercharged 4.4-liter V8 engine goes for an astounding 777 horsepower. This gives the TuLesto a 0-62 mph time of under 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph.
Novitec chief Wolfgang Hagedorn has this to say about the tuner’s first car: “With the Novitec TuLesto we transform our collective know-how from two decades of automobile tuning into an uncompromising high-performance sports car for eleven of our long-time customers from around the world. The TuLesto offers an optimal symbiosis of exceptional driving dynamics and exciting yet aerodynamically efficient styling.”
While some may see a resemblance between the TuLesto’s designs and the Ferrari F430, the tuner’s car is a tad larger in all aspects. The body was designed by Italian design firm Luca Serafini Stile and makes extensive use of carbon fiber. To say the least, Novitec Rosso’s first ground-up project should produce a promising new supercar.
