Pagani Zonda Tricolore Unveiled
February 28, 2010
This is possibly one of the last new Pagani Zonda variants that we’ll ever see as Pagani is set to release the C9 Zonda replacement later this year.
Meet the Pagani Zaonda Tricolore which will be seen at the upcoming Geneva motor show.
This special edition is made to honor the Frecce Tricolori – the Italian Air Force aerobatics team. The car’s based on the five-unit run Zonda Cinque but sports a unique exterior.
The car is left in its carbon-titanium (tit-bon according to James May) weave glory save for a lacquer with a bluish tint and red, white and green stripes. The car also gets extra air vents and LED running lights.
Only one Tricolore will be sold at a price of 1.3 million euros.
New Details on the Pagani C9
January 24, 2010

So Pagani has probably milked as much as it can from the Pagani Zonda and decided that a new model is in order. Meet the Pagani C9.
The C9 will be powered by AMG’s 6.0L V12 engine dishing out 690 bhp and 737 lb-ft of torque. It really seems like 500 hp is such a decade ago. The new supercar power ranges seems to have shifted above 600.
The chassis will be made from carbon-titanium (tit-bon as James May would call it). Bosch will be handling the electronics. Pirelli will be providing the rubber.
To differentiate it from the old Zonda, Pagani claims that the car will be a completely new design. Even the materials used in building the components will be an improvement. 3770 new parts are to be made for this new vehicle.
Pagani will be winding down the production of special edition Zondas to make way for the C9 production later this year. Pagani pegs the pricing at 900,000 Euros (approx. $1,275,000).
Official Details on 2009 Pagani Zonda R
February 17, 2009
The Pagani Zonda has helped push the boundaries of what’s possible in a super car. An outrageous design. Speed that puts many a Ferrari to shame. A blistering lap time around the Nurburgring. Now, Pagani is proud to announce the latest developments in the Zonda R for the new year.
The new Zonda R’s V12 engine comes from Merc’s AMG tuning division. It churns out a massive 750 hp and 710 Nm of torque. That, matched with the Zonda’s lightweight carbon fiber body makes for a high hp per ton ratio. The chassis is equipped with a roll cage and brand new front and rear subframes. and It even has a racing fuel tank for good sporting measure.
The body work’s not only for crazy supercar showcase but all the bits and pieces were designed to give the Zonda more downforce. The adjustable wings allows drivers to set the car up for different track requirements.

January 8, 2009
There was a customer who asked Pagani to make the ultimate track-day Zonda, and now the Italian sports car manufacturer has come up with the answer: The Pagani Zonda R. After three years in development,
Carbon fiber, titanium, magnesium, and aircraft-grade aluminum—these are the materials from which the Zonda R’s body was made. The woven mix of aluminum and titanium makes up the core of the body, guaranteeing toughness along with the light weight necessary for maximum speed: the Zonda R weighs a mere 1070 kilograms. It’s got a mid-mounted V12 that produces 739 brake horsepower at 524 lb.-ft. of torque.
Horacio Pagani, the company’s owner, described the car as something “born out pure creativity. He added that he never thought the car would garner much interest because it was a “crazy dream”. However, after previewing the car at last year’s Geneva Show, the automaker received nine deposits which allowed the development of the car to continue.
At the moment, Pagani has no plans to go beyond the 16-car production. Eleven of those already have owners waiting for the finished products. It’s a “crazy” car, sure, but it looks damn great (for that 10 year-old kid in you) and has monster specs.

May 30, 2008
I’m sure you’ve probably heard about Pagani offering up the R version of the Zonda, constructed of carbon fiber and sporting a 750hp V-12 power plant and a staggering price tag in the 1.2 million dollar range. Well hold on to your snow cones kids, word is that Pagani will be offering a VERY limited run of 5 street legal editions of the Zonda R. The car is rumored to be appropriately will be named after the Italian name for five, ‘cinque.’ Weather this is just a pipe dream or actual plans is quite fuzzy at the moment. But if it was up to CarFront…well you know that what would happen then.
