Th!nk City Gets Euro Homologation

The Th!nk city electric vehicle has finally gotten the homologation certificate it needed to be able to sell throughout other European countries without having to undergo testing for each country.

The new pan-European certificate will definitely make it easier for Th!nk to register the city in Europe and also helps to reduce the costs for importers and consumers.

�The combination of government-led demonstration programs followed by incentives for consumer to purchase EVs is a pattern that leading governments around the world are following,� said Th!nk CEO Richard Canny. �It helps get EVs on the market, increases the scale for lithium-ion battery producers and drives the cost of these batteries down.�

Th!nk has confirmed that it is set to deliver 550 city EVs to Spain. That�s just the tip of the iceberg for the Norwegian car manufacturer. The company announced last year at the British International Motor Show that the city will be available in the UK in the summer of 2009.download munich
