Zenvo ST1 with 1100 HP
November 12, 2009
Bugatti has proven that they can crack the 1000 hp mark and go way beyond supercar nirvana of 200 mph. When we all thought that it should’ve ended the horsepower wars.
Remember Zenvo? Well, they’ve finally reached the latter stages of their development of the ST1 supercar – five years since it started development in 2004. The Danish car maker claims that it packs 1100 hp which easily shames the Veyron by 100 horses.
The car is basically a Corvette ZR1 and packs the same V8 engine. Zenvo slapped on turbo and superchargers on the engine to have it dish out the wicked 1104 hp and 1055 lb-ft of torque.
Mated to a six-speed manual, the car can go all the way to an electronically-limited 233 mph. At least it’s set not to shame the Veyron in terms of top speed.
Impressive, but as an engineering marvel, we’d still go with the Veyron. This one doesn’t really look as slippery enough to go all the way past 250 mph.
