Formula 1: Schumacher Says His Neck is Good
January 20, 2010 · Print This Article

One of the concerns by Michael Schumacher fans in his comeback is if his neck would hold out. That’s basically what prevented him from making a surprise comeback last season as a stand-in for Felipe Massa.
Much like how knees often bother older ball players, Formula One drivers need to have a pretty fit body for them to be able to withstand the massive G-forces involved in driving Formula One cars.
Well, it’s a personal guarantee the maestro is giving everyone claiming that his neck injury has fully healed. He was involved in a motorcycle accident early in 2009 and injured his neck.
Schumacher will be making his grand comeback this season driving for Mercedes GP after retiring in 2006 with seven world championships.
While Schumacher hasn’t really done much F1 car driving recently, he’s looking forward to testing next month.
