599 GTB Fiorano Caught Fire, Not a Fun Call to the Boss
July 25, 2008
Martin, 43, was asked to take Romans International’s 599 GTB Fiorano to the shop. On the way there while pulling up to a stop light the car “made a noise” and then poof! up in flames. The blaze was quickly brought under control and extinguished by the local fire department. But it wasn’t over for Martin, he still had to make a phone call to Paul, the owner of the car.
“He rang me and said, ‘Your car’s just gone up in flames’. At first I hoped he was joking, but I soon realised he was serious. I asked him why it had happened and he said he had no idea. Martin’s worked here since he was 15 and he’s a great guy. It’s obviously not his fault – so I’m not going to hold it against him.”

Can you taste the “SCUDERIA” rainbow!!!
June 16, 2008
Ive compiled a small group of various 430 Scuderia pics in some of the more popular colors as well as some off beat ones. Its great to see Ferrari making cars in WACKY colors for once. Regardless if you are a fan or not of these colors on a Ferrari, one cannot deny its a positive step in the right direction for mixing it up abit!
Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari 599 GTB Street Racing
June 4, 2008
If you’re contemplating taking your Veyron out to school the little boys in their 599’s, you best know what the repercussions might be. We know a situation such as this might be, and most likely will be MUCH different if you are in the states, However in the UK, you’d be looking at 3 points on your record and a fine that’s a mere droplet compared to what you paid for the car at £60 (about $120.)
We have two blokes to thank for these numbers, that were out for a little fun in Hampshire, UK. Attention was obviously brought to the two supercars stretching their legs, and a pursuit ensued. The BMW police car got up to 140mph chasing the two, when the Veyron decided to pull over, while the 599 kept going, and ultimately got away.
“We were in hysterics when we saw the Bugatti had been stopped. The policeman had a furious look that suggested the driver was in tons of trouble.”
Said a motorist who managed to snap a couple pictures of the cars, one as the two went racing by, showing the 599 may have been expecting some unwanted attention and was not sporting a license plate. Another of the Veyron while it’s pulled over.

Ferrari IMAX Movie
May 21, 2008
The IMAX production team are hard at work on a new masterpiece, Causing all the 2008 movies that I’m waiting impatiently to see, to be bumped down a notch. To bad I will need to wait until 2009 and fly to Abu Dhabi to see it.
Ferrari has released these three images of a helicopter whizzing over Fiorano. In CarFront’s opinion, taking in the sweetest sights ever to hit the IMAX lens. The movie will be used at the Ferrari Theme Park in Abu Dhabi, opening next year. I wonder if there will be a midnight release party?
Chris Evans Spends $10.9 Million on a Ferrari
May 19, 2008
Radio DJ and former TV presenter Chris Evans stunned the crowd at Sunday’s ‘Ferrari Leggenda e Passione’ auction in Maranello by paying just under $11 million dollars for a vintage black 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider.
“I didn’t expect it to go for that price, but I’m fine, absolutely calm. I’ve just had a Guinness.”
Doing so set a new record for price paid for a car at auction. Trumping another 250 GTO that was bought in 1990 for $10.7 million.
The Ferrari purchased by Evens previously belonged to actor James Coburn, who died in 2002. It was estimated to sell for barely half the price that Evans ended up paying for it, proving that the slowing economy has yet to effect the buoyant classic Ferrari values. Chis told Bloomberg news that he has no regrets, saying that “this is the best of the best. It seems like a lot of money now, but in five to 10 years time it’ll be out of my range.”
There was a time where the bid sat at
At one point, with a bid of $9.5m against him, Evans was gently encouraged to take some thinking time by auctioneer Peter Bainbridge.
“I need a Budweiser,” said the Evens.
“A Budweiser?” boomed Mr Bainbridge. “We’ll get you a whole case.”
“I thought it was the funniest thing ever”, said Evans.
